Jacky’s Big Ayurveda Journey!
Originally from the UK, Jacky has been a student at YogaONE since June, 2017. Recently, she came to see Deacon and Ginger to work on her Vata imbalance. For those of you who are not entirely sure what a Vata imbalance is all about, it means that Jacky is dealing with anxiety, being scattered, having challenges with digestion (bloating) and not being able to sleep well.
After her initial consultation with Deacon & Ginger, Jacky graciously offered to blog about her progress working with a Vata balancing program for the next few weeks, which include diet, lifestyle and yoga edits, created specifically for her.
Welcome to Jacky’s Vata Balancing blog!
Morning! Day One of the Vata Balancing Blog-for some reason that makes me think of a tightrope walking dog-no idea-sorry
For last nights dinner (which is a smaller meal than lunch time) I made split pea soup, whilst making it I found out that one of my dogs, Rosie loves carrots and hates celery and Cooper, the other dog, likes celery and hates carrots-see life is a learning curve
The split pea soup was really really easy to make, comforting and nourishing and very green!
This morning for breakfast I slow cooked some rice with apple puree and fruit compote. I have to say baby food for breakfast is my hardest challenge so far-I need some crunch!!
Then I started off in the slow cooker Bean and Greens casserole.
I know when you’re busy this sounds like a lot, but these ingredients make more than one meal so it’s quick for another day. And what I love about the slow cooker is you can leave it chunttering away in the background, and when its time to eat, There it is done and ready for you!
Have a lovely day x
