Lorraine began her yoga journey in 2000 as a way to heal from the effects of cancer treatment through meditation and a gentle movement practice. In 2003, she moved to Costa Rica where she began a more involved and ongoing study of the asana practice via several teachers. Upon returning from Costa Rica in 2007, she received her Holistic Nutrition Educator certificate from Bauman College. In 2011, she completed her 200 hours yoga certification from 8 limbs Yoga Centers in Seattle and for the past five years has taught to over hundreds of students in studio, private and corporate settings.
In 2014, Lorraine received her 50 hours of Yin Yoga training and fell in love with the slower, longer holds that the practice encourages. Yin has been a necessary compliment to her more active yang lifestyle and she feels that we can all benefit from this practice.
For Lorraine, yoga has been a healing journey of the body, mind and soul. As a teacher, her intention is to create a safe container where the practitioners can unfold, unwind and awaken to deeper truths within their mind and body. She looks forward to meeting you on your mat!
