Sara first experienced yoga as a child, but really discovered the practice after more than a decade-long athletic career, as a means of cultivating sense of self and finding solace in an ever-changing world. Sara completed teacher training with the renowned YogaWorks in 2013, and has gone on to train consistently with master teachers Maty Ezraty and Seane Corn, among others. She continues to expand her knowledge of yoga at every opportunity and considers herself a student first.
Sara also received her certification with AIVS as an Ayurvedic Counselor in 2013, and has been a practicing Holistic Nutritionist since graduating from Berkeley’s Bauman College in 2015. Sara’s unique trilogy of yoga, ancient Ayurvedic wisdom, and functional nutritional medicine comprises her holistic health philosophy, which she calls Body Karma.
Sara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and has written extensively on health, yoga, and wellbeing for publications such as MindBodyGreen since 2011. The spiritual and physical journey of yoga has been such a gift and it is a blessing to be able to share this practice. Sara believes that movement is medicine and, while yoga will make us stronger and more flexible, we come to the mat to train the mind and to discover ourselves.
